A Hercules military aircraft from the Canadian Armed Forces arrived in Shamattawa First Nation Wednesday afternoon to support with the community’s COVID-19 outbreak. 

Indigenous Companies Canada said medics and further rangers will conduct a total evaluation over the subsequent 48 hours to identify what supplemental methods are required to meet up with the community’s demands. 

“As the emergency at Shamattawa Very first Nation evolves, we will continue on to perform intently with the nation and all associates,” the statement from the federal federal government reads.

The letter was also signed by Grand Main Garrison Sofa of Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak, a political advocacy team that represents 30 northern Manitoba Very first Nations.
